1. Dr. V. Lakshmi Kalpana, M.Phil., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor, Department of Human Genetics at Andhra University. Besides being an accomplished academician, she is also a meticulous administrator who served as Head for 4 departments - Human Genetics, Microbiology, Bio-technology and Food, Nutrition and Dietetics simultaneously. Presently, she is the chairperson of the Board of Studies for Human Genetics Department, Andhra University. She has authored multiple National and International publications, books, and book chapters on clinical cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and molecular cytogenetics. Her research areas of interest include human cell culture and karyotyping, genetic counseling, gene polymorphisms and population genetics. In addition to research, she has a longstanding commitment to teaching, training, and mentorship at all levels, including postgraduate students, doctoral and postdoctoral fellows. Many of whom have gone on to highly successful academic careers in related areas. 2. Dr. A. Anuradha, M.Phil., Ph.D., is a Research Scientist, at Andhra Medical College. She completed her Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. V. Lakshmi Kalpana, Department of Human Genetics at Andhra University in 2014. She was also a recipient of the prestigious Women Scientist–B, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. Her research has been reflected in both National and International publications and book chapters. She assisted Dr. V. Lakshmi Kalpana in composing and editing the books.
