Ashutosh Kar is a renowned Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and has to his credit thirty six years of teaching experience at UG/PG levels both in Indian and African universities. He has duly published more than fifty research papers both in national and international scientific journals. He has taught at School of Pharmacy, Addis Ababa University, Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) (2002-2005); Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar (India) (1999-2002); Al-Arab Medical University, Benghazi (Libya) (1997-1998); College of Pharmacy, University of Delhi (Delhi) (1990-1994); Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (Nigeria) (1976-1987); RNS College of Pharmacy, Gormi (MP) (India) (2005-2012); and Apeejay Stya University, Gurgaon (India) (2014-2015) and Lingaya’s University (2015-till date). Professor Kar has been conferred with four great academic awards—• ‘Lifetime Achievement Award-2008’- by the Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences andTechnologists, Jadavpur University, Kolkata on 19th January, 2008, for his immense contribution to theIndian Pharmacy Profession. • ‘APP Outstanding Achievement Award-2014’- by the Association of Pharmacy Professionals, Bhopal(MP) at the DD University, Nadiad (Gujarat) on 18th January, 2014. • ‘Lifetime Achievement Award-2014’- by the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI)(Haryana Branch) at the 1st Conference held at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra on 23rd August, 2014. • ‘Scroll of Honor 2014’- by the Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR),University of Delhi, New Delhi (India) on the occasion of Golden Jubilee year on 14th November, 2014.
