"Faculty of Radiodiagnosis" at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi; and Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, joined together in 1996 to start a unique venture. They organized and started a continuing medical education program. The unique feature of this program was that there were a number of imaging courses covering all the organ systems spread over few years. There were seven such courses which together made one series. An integral part of this endeavor was publishing a book on the organ system covered by that course. The aim was to provide state-of-the-art knowledge to postgraduates and practicing radiologists along with establishing a uniform pattern of teaching in ""radiology"" across the country. The first series of seven imaging courses was successfully completed in the year 2000. A second series of these courses was then initiated in October 2002 and was completed in 2004. Third series extended between October 2008 and March 2013. Both these series were very successful, and the accompanying books achieved wide readership. Phenomenal technological advances and innovations in the last few years have prompted and necessitated a fourth series of these courses and the reorganization of the accompanying book. Therefore, fourth series was initiated in November 2016 and we have already covered six courses of the fourth series. The last course on ""Pediatric Radiology"" with its accompanying present book has 35 chapters. We are sure that postgraduate students as well as radiologists will greatly benefit by this book which covers all aspects of pediatric radiology which they may encounter in any major hospital. It will not only serve as a supplement to the imaging course but will also be useful for the radiologists in training and as a reference for the general radiologists and our clinical colleagues.
