"D.N. Elhance was the pioneer of commerce and management education in India and a renowned author of various books on Statistics and Management. He was Dean, Faculty of Commerce at Jodhpur University, a department he established when Jodhpur University was opened in 1962. He was later Vice-Chancellor of Jodhpur University and Principal of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. Prof. Elhance carried the banner of Indian academicia abroad as a “Visiting Research Scholar”, University of California, Los Angeles and as a “Visiting Research Professor” at Michigan State University, USA. He has given lectures at many reputed American universities including Harvard, Stanford and MIT. He has also worked on the projects of USAID and was associated with the development of commerce education in neighbouring countries. Prof. Elhance was also honoured by the UGC as the National Lecturer in Commerce. Rajesh Elhance studied Engineering from Jodhpur University and subsequently did his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. Prior to transitioning into academia, he has worked in the corporate world for over 30 years with reputed multinational companies including Xerox, Timex and AccountantsWorld at senior managerial positions. Over last 10 years, he has taught in several business schools both in India and USA. He is passionate about helping students by supplementing the course curriculum with practical, real-world application and insights."
