AK Khurana, Chief Editor of MSO Series, and the author of this volume, is currently Senior Professor and Head, Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, PGIMS, University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. Cataract surgery is his passion in addition to squint and oculoplasty, the other areas of his interest. He has been teaching ophthalmology for the last three decades. In addition to MSO Series, he has authored many popular books. His other books Comprehensive Ophthalmology, Practical Ophthalmology, Anatomy and Physiology of Eye, Theory and Practice of Optics and Refraction, Ophthalmic Nursing, Modern Ophthalmology for Ayurveda Students, Ophthalmology-Quick Text Revision and MCQs and Ophthalmology: Viva Questions and Answers have been well received by the medical students. Dr Khurana has published more than 150 scientific papers in national and international journals of repute. He has also been editor of the Haryana Journal of Ophthalmology and North Zone Journal of Ophthalmology. He was awarded WHO Fellowship for higher studies at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He was also selected for a course and awarded Certificate in Tropical Ophthalmology at International Centre for Eye Health, Institute of Ophthalmology, University of London, UK. He has been honored with Distinguished Author Award by the Federation of Educational Publishers of India, Award for Excellence in Ophthalmology by HOS and an Excellent Award by Strabismological Society of India.
