Dr John Fowler has a joint appointment as Principal Lecturer in Nursing at De Montfort University & Nursing Educational Consultant to Leicester City West PCT. Much of his current work focuses on helping people learn from their clinical experiences either through clinical supervision or independent study.

The book concentrates on gynaecological (science of women) issues, but certain aspects, particularly in relation to reproduction, necessarily involve paying attention to mens health too. This book is not a comprehensive account of all the pathological conditions that can affect the female productive tract. Rather, it is an invaluable resource book for both student nurses and Registered Nurses when questions arise in relation to health education or promotion, womens decision-making with regard to available treatments, and possible legal issues.</span><br></p>
