Research workers on sedimentology will find the exhaustive list of references and numerous illustrations drawn both from Indian and foreign sources useful. The text of the second edition has been updated to include the current developments in sedimentology. A new chapter Structures of Chemical and Biological Origin has been added. The discussions on carbonate sedimentation have been elaborated and the techniques of palaeocurrent analysis have been discussed in some detail.</span><br></p>
