Andrew Ward was raised in India and has returned to it as a photographer, novelist, and award-winning historian. His novel The Blood Seed takes place in Kanpur, and his history of the Kanpur uprising, Our Bones Are Scattered, was universally praised by reviewers in India, Britain, and the United States. He lives in California.
