Dr Suchita Malik graduated from the University of Delhi and went on to earn her Ph.D from Punjab University. She has written feature articles and travelogues and is the author of Indian Memsahib. She is currently an associate professor in English at the Government College for Men, Chandigarh. This is her second novel.
This is the story of Raghu and Sunaina, who in their two decades in the civil service, are accustomed to a world of power and glamour. This book provides a glimpse, through the dispassionate eyes of Sunaina, into the immensely private world of civil servants and especially the 'memsahibs' who are its unacknowledged backbone.
