Kiran Rekha Banerji had a three-decade-long academic career where she taught science and chemistry at the secondary, high secondary and undergraduate levels at several institutes in India and the Middle East. She has also authored textbooks on science for both CBSE and ICSE streams. In November 2015, she retired as principal of a prestigious secondary school in Gurugram to pursue full-time writing and editing. She is passionate about making science education for students, innovative and exciting. She believes in instilling among children a ‘scientific attitude’ and this belief is her inspiration for writing a book series for young readers.
