G.P. Talwar is an author of A Handbook Of Practical And Clinical Immunology Vol 2 2Ed (Pb 2017) .G.P. Talwar is the Founder Director of the National institute of immunology. He has been the Head of the Collaborating Centre for Research and Training in immunology of the World Health Organization of I ndia and South East Asia since its inception. He has made significant research contributions in many fields, principle among these are the development of birth control vaccines, vaccine for leprosy and vaccines for reproductive hormone dependent cancers. His team has also brought out several diagnostic kits for a number of tropical diseases. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, Indian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), and National Academy of Sciences (India) as well as Fellow and Past President of the Indian College of Allergy & Applied immunology. He is the Founder President of the Indian Immunology Society and is on the Council of international Society for immunology of Reproduction. He has been the president of the Endocrine Society of India and Indian Association of Clinical Biochemists. Prof. Talwar has published more than 200 original research papers and is the editor of 14 books. S.K. Gupta obtained his M.Sc. (Medical Biochemistry), Ph.D. from All India institute of Medical Sciences is currently working as Principal Scientific Officer in the core scientific cadre at the National institute of immunology. He has been awarded Science Academy Medal for Young Scientists by the Indian National Science Academy, Shakuntala Amir Chand Prize by Indian Council of Medical Research, UNESCO/ROSTSCA award in the field of 'Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology', Overseas Biotechnology Associateship (short-term) by Department of Biotechnology and was elected as Young Associate of Indian Academy of Sciences. He has been actively engaged in research in the field of reproductive immunology and immunodiagnostics.
