Preeta Sharan is Professor Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering the Oxford College of Engineering Bangalore (affiliated to VTU Belgaum). She has numerous articles to her credit in the field of optical fiber communication published in international journals and presented at conferences. Her area of interest is optical fiber communication and antenna and wave propagation theory. She is a member of IEEE IMAPS and ISTE and recipient of the awards like JRF/SRF UGC. She has published two laboratory manuals one on ‘advanced communication’and the other on ‘analog communication’. Currently she is working on research projects from DRDOIEEE and VGST.

It gives relevant information on the basic concepts of processes circuits and other building blocks of experiments related to digital communication. It presents the basic concept used in circuit design microwave communication and optical communication and also provides various methods and techniques for conducting the experiment. Clear circuit diagrams and proper calculations have been provided for all the experiments and simple language has been used throughout the book for better understanding of the concepts for the students.
