Indra Deo Mall PhD, FIE (I), LM IIChE, LM IPPTA is former Professor and Head, Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, former Distinguished Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun. Earlier he had worked in Orient Paper Mills, Brajrajnagar, Orissa. He has published/presented more than 215 research papers in international and national journals | at conferences. He has published two books Petrochemical Process Technology and Petroleum Refining Technology (CBSPD). He has also contributed chapters in many books. He is fellow of Institution of Engineers (India) and life member of IIChE, Indian Pulp and Paper Technical Association and Indian Association of Air Pollution Control. He has received three prestigious awards The Institution of Engineers Nawab Zain Jung Bahadur Memorial Medal 1996-1997 in the area of environment, Journal of Solid Waste Technology and Management, USA, Russell Ackoff Award 2003, and Society of Geoscientists and Allied Technologies best paper award 2013. He had been member of boards of studies of a number of universities and institutes and presently is also actively engaged in academic activities of various institutes and universities as expert.
