Niket Verma MBBS, MD is currently Assistant Professor, Department of General Medicine, Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi. He takes keen interest in the academic and research activities of his department and has completed the Advance Course in Medical Education conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI). He is a member of the Medical Education Unit of his college and is actively involved in the implementation of the new Competency Based Medical Education Programme for MBBS undergraduates. He is pursuing the prestigious FAIMER Fellowship and has authored the Logbook for Foundation Course for MBBS Students; Competency Based Logbook in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and ECE for First Professional MBBS and numerous articles from the field of medical education.
Poonam Agrawal MBBS, MD is Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, Rohini, New Delhi. She has completed the Advance Course in Medical Education conducted by the MCI and has authored several books and research papers. She is a member of the Medical Education Unit of her college and is actively involved in the implementation of the new Competency Based Medical Education Programme for MBBS undergraduates. She has written many other books like Practical Biochemistry with Clinical Correlation for MBBS Students; Concepts in Biochemistry; Review in Biochemistry for NEXT based on latest PGMEE pattern; Competency Based Logbook in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and ECE for First Professional MBBS and Logbook for Foundation Course for MBBS Students all brought by CBSP&D.
Deepti Chopra is currently Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology, Government Institute of Medical Sciences. Greater Noida UP. Prior to this she had worked at HIMSR, Jamia Hamdard and Lady Hardinge Medical College. She has done her graduation and postgraduation (pharmacology) from Lady Hardinge Medical College and also postgraduation in tuberculosis and chest diseases. She is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for last 14 years. She has more than 50 publications in various national and international journals.

This logbook aims to provide a ready format to record the activities, competencies and skills in Pharmacology. Combined with reflection writing, the records can be used for formative and continuous assessment of the learners as they progress through 2nd Professional MBBS. We hope that this logbook will serve as a stimulus to encourage self-directed learning among undergraduate students.
