A dairy is a business enterprise established for the harvesting processing or both of animal milk – mostly from cows buffaloes or goats but also from sheep horses or camels – for human consumption. A dairy is typically located on a dedicated dairy farm or in a section of a multi purpose farm (mixed farm) that is concerned with the harvesting of milk.
Livestock are domesticated animals raised in an agricultural setting to produce commodities such as meat milk leather and wool. The term is often used to refer solely to those raised for food and sometimes only farmed ruminants such as cattle and goats. The breeding maintenance and slaughter of these animals known as animal husbandry is a component of modern agriculture that has been practiced in many cultures since humanity’s transition to farming from huntergatherer lifestyles. Poultry farming refers to raising various types of domestic birds commercially for the purpose of meat eggs and feather production. The most common and widely raised poultry birds are chicken.
