<p>India is a land of vast ocean of literature written by prominent writers in classical and vernacular languages from ancient times to date. About the Author Joseph Jacobs (18541916) was an Australian folklorist translator literary critic and English author known for his specialization in folklore. He also edited the One Thousand and One Nights and also contributed to The Jewish Encyclopedia. He also translated the earliest English version of The Fables of Bidpai.</p>
