CHANDAN SINHA is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service, currently posted in Delhi. He has published two books earlier: Public Sector Reforms in India: New Role of the District officer (Sage, 2007) and Kindling of an Insurrection: Notes from Jungalmahals (Routledge, 2013).
The Bhakti saint-poet Kabir's sakhis/ dohas (couplets) have been a source of wisdom to people across the spectrums of caste, class and creed. His sakhis are his conversations with God, with himself and with us in everyday colourful tongue that leave a mark on readers of all ages.
