The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 was enacted with the object of protecting the interest of consumers. The scope of the Act extends to both Goods as well as Services and thus in case of any defect or deficiency or in case of any malpractice adopted by the Manufacturer/Trader or the Service Provider, as the case may be, the remedy available with the Consumer has been provided under the Act. Key to Consumer Law Practice & Procedure is a part of the ?Law for Common Man Series? and the distinguishing feature of it is that it is intended to provide the readers with a thorough view of the subject in a simple and lucid language. The up-to-date case-law delivered by the Constitutional Courts in the country has also been provided in the book with a view to inform the readers on the interpretation of different terms & provisions as well as the intricate concepts involved in the subject. The book shall be of great help to not only the Law Students, Law faculties and Libraries, members of the Bar and Bench, but also to the common man who is interested to know his rights as a consumer.
